	I grew up in the United States and am over 40 years old, and I've never heard "whilst" used outside of the UK and India. For context, my parents were from Maine and Connecticut, and I grew up in Florida and have lived in Massachusetts, Washington, and Oregon. I'm currently in England for business and came here to make sure I'm using "whilst" correctly in an email.
